This page contains many lore elements that are not considered part of the new, official lore. It's very unlikely that it will still be considered canon for new lore, but will maintain relevance in old lore.
Babruses are one of the several Virus types. They are smaller and weaker compared to other Virus types. They are blue and have rounded edges, as well as a curl of "hair" that protrudes from their heads.
Additionally, Babruses are the standard variant of Babrus, and are the "mascot" of the Babrus species.
Weapons/Abilities[]
Like many Corruptions, Babruses are capable of infecting Programs and other software both when alive and when deceased. However, Babruses cannot infect other Corruptions. When Babruses infect other software, the software corrupts into a Virus whose type matches that of the original software (i.e. if a Babrus corrupts a default Program, the Program will corrupt into a default Virus).
Babruses are also known to wield the following weapons and tools:
- Little Axe
- Little Club
- Little Hammer
- Little Sword

Babrus Bullies are a larger and stronger class variant of Babrus.
Weapons/Abilities[]
Ground Smash - Babrus Bullies have the ability to perform an AOE "Ground Smash" attack by slamming their fists into the ground, which causes a cloud of colored dust (which matches the Babrus Bullies' color, albeit more dusty/grayish) to rise from the ground.
Big Fists - Babrus Bullies have the ability to punch their enemies with their fists, called "Big Fists".

- Babruses were originally called "Pretty Viruses", however, they were given their current name on February 23, 2021.
- Babrus Bullies were originally called "Pretty Virus Punchers", however, they were given their current name of "Bully" on February 23, 2021.
- Babrus’s name is a portmanteau on the words "Baby" and "Virus".
- All ingame Babrus characters were revamped on January 18, 2023.
- The old description for Babrus and their Brawler counterparts read "They may be smaller, but they're still just as angry as the original! Their cute appearance helps them with gaining the trust of their targets."
