Bats (also known as Baseball Bats) are a type of weapon in the Dataverse commonly wielded by Corruptions.
There are five different types of Bats seen in-game, the Virus Bat, the Malware Bat, the Default Bat, the Little Club, and the Back-Off Bat. The Virus and Malware Bats can be seen in both Databrawl and its RP counterpart, where it can be used by their respective sides, while the Default Bat and Little Club can only be seen in DBRP, where it can be obtained through getting the Toy Weapons from the Toy Machine. The Back-Off Bat, however, can only be legitimately wielded by people with the Contributor rank and up (or otherwise, people who have been noted to be given special permission to wield the tool), or by anyone during Jokebrawl Dontplay.
In Battle Mode, bats have a special move known as "Homerun Strike". This move is performed by equipping the bat and pressing Q when an onscreen meter is filled. When performed, the bat and its user will begin to glow. The player will get a 0.65 speed boost as a distinct noise plays. If the player hits an opponent during this time, the opponent will be launched far away unless they are resistant to knockback.

More Facts[]
- The Bat weapon was originally called "Baseball.bat" in reference to the .bat (batch/bat) computer file type. This was changed around late-2018.
- Hitting an enemy with this attack results in the player earning the "Home Run!" badge if they have not already earned it.
- The Home Run action is based on a Baseball score-type, a home run. A home run is when the batter hits the baseball sometimes resulting in the baseball going out of the field.
- Before Virus weapons got their own unique models, Virus Bats used the same model as Malware Bats.
- Before Firewall Security units received their Firewall Shot-Baton weapon, their melee weapon used the same model as Malware Bats.
- The sound that plays when a home run is activated is a stock sound effect commonly used in Ed, Edd, and Eddy. The sound that plays when a home run hits another player is from Super Smash Bros.
- Before June 30, 2024, the Homerun Strike was completely uncontrollable and only activated by chance.
