This page contains many lore elements that are not considered part of the new, official lore. It's very unlikely that it will still be considered canon for new lore, but will maintain relevance in old lore.
Bits are the Dataverse's currency. They are little golden rock-like objects. The source they appear from is Bit rocks, deep in the Underground Mines.
Bits are stored in three places, those places being the Malware Encampment, the Virus Encampment, and the Bits Exchange Databank, which holds as the money stash for Programs and other friendly-aligned entities.
In Databrawl Roleplay, players can earn Bits by mining Bit rocks in the Virus and Malware Mines, or using the slot machines in the Malware/Virus Camps, Software Sweets, McDod, and the Bits Exchange Databank. It is also possible for players to take Bits out of the vault of the Databank and out of the Bits storage areas in the Virus and Malware Encampments.
Currently, you can get from a singular bit to a big sack of bits in Databrawl Roleplay. It goes from:
Singular Bit -> Handful of Bits -> Bag of Bits -> Sack of Bits -> Big Sack of Bits
When one team collects enough bits they gain a speed boost, a jump boost and an attack boost temporarily and cause meteors to rain down from the sky that harm anyone except for the team that got the boost and Programs and Firewalls share the boost.
The Malware and Viruses team boost are both the same, but the Program's team boost has a chance of dropping green meteors, which drops food. This gives Firewall and Programs quick healing when needed.
Bits replaced Points in battle on September 27th 2020, acting as the points, and possibly causing less lag than the Points.
