Real World Counterpart[]
In real life, botnets are networks of computers connected and infected by malware that are under the control of a "bot-herder". Computers infected by botnets are often called "bots" or "zombies". Botnets are often used to conduct attacks, send spam, steal data, or send other malware to people. Examples of botnets include Mirai, Stormworm, and Emotet.
