Legacy Lore

This page contains many lore elements that are not considered part of the new, official lore. It's very unlikely that it will still be considered canon for new lore, but will maintain relevance in old lore.

CIHs are a powerful species of Corruption. They are based off of a computer virus of the same name.

Databrawl Battle Zone[]

In the Battle Zone, CIH is a Token-earnable character that players on the Corruption teams can get when a Special Token is acquired.

Stats[]

325HP, 22 WALKSPEED

CIH shares traits with Brawlers. However, unlike Brawlers, CIH cannot jump and is generally slower. It does have more HP and does more damage. It also lacks a Ground Smash attack.

Weapons/Abilities[]

FIHsts - CIHs have the ability to punch with their fists, called "FIHsts". This attack (which is categorized as being a "Bare Knuckles" attack) deals 43 points of damage and has a cooldown of 1 second.

Stone Toss - CIHs have the ability to pick up a piece of the ground below them and throw it wherever they aim. When the thrown chunk comes into contact with an object, it breaks and creates a brief AOE explosion. This attack (which is categorized as being a "Ranged Explosive" attack) deals 38 points of damage upon the thrown chunk's impact, with the brief explosion having a radius of 12 studs. In addition to this, any players directly hit by the stone will be flung. The cooldown for the attack is 20 seconds.

Knockback Resistance - CIHs cannot be flung by Mines or Special Tokens.

Real World Counterpart[]

The real world version of CIH is a computer virus first discovered on June 1998 in Taiwan. Also known as Chernobyl or Spacefiller, the virus's most recognized name, CIH, was derived from the initials of its creator, Chen Ing-Hau.

The virus itself is incredibly destructive, inserting its code into unused space in executable files. The virus has two payloads: one which erases data on the hard drive, and one which attacks the BIOS of the computer, overwriting it with gibberish and making it so that the computer itself is unable to turn on. Both of these payloads activate on April 26, the birthday of its creator and coincidentally the date of the Chernobyl disaster. To see CIH in action, click here.

More Facts[]

A restricted variant of CIH called "Thanos" is in Databrawl Roleplay. This particular CIH is bigger than usual, has the Infinity Gauntlet, and is purple. Said restricted character is based off Thanos from Marvel.
- The Thanos model is also old, and was made before CIH was revamped, so it still uses the old pre-vamp CIH model.
- There is another restricted character called "Small CIH". It was the original size of CIH before it was added to the game. It's basically a smaller version of the character.
- There is another restricted character in Databrawl Roleplay called "Nu-CIH", which is basically just a green CIH with Program eyes.
Originally, a very long time ago (in mid 2018), CIH lacked Mine Knockback Resistance and was able to be flung by Mines.
Utopi CIHs are Tortoises.
CIHs were given the Stone Toss ability in the Test Version of Databrawl on July 31, 2020.
