This page contains many lore elements that are not considered part of the new, official lore. It's very unlikely that it will still be considered canon for new lore, but will maintain relevance in old lore.
In the Dataverse, certain characters can have different variants of themselves called classes, similarly to how in real life organisms such as ants may have worker ants, soldier ants, etc.
There are a variety of different classes in the Dataverse, with many characters who have classes sharing the same common classes as each other. However, some characters may have unique classes exclusive to them that do not fit cleanly into the common class categories. This page covers the common categories, which are listed below.
List of Common Classes[]
- Standard - The standard class is the base class of a character. This class essentially serves as the "mascot" of the species, being the basic reference point used when describing the aspects of other classes. In lore, standard class characters are typically rounded in their skills overall and do not have any emphasis on particular aspects.
- Brawler - The Brawler class is a stronger version of a character. This class is typically stronger than the standard class, having higher health and higher damage. Additionally, this class is usually larger than the standard class. This class, as suggested by its title, is built to be better in combat.
- Byte - The Byte class is a weaker version of a character. This class is typically weaker than the standard class, having lower health and lower damage. Additionally, this class is usually smaller than the standard class, and has more simplistic features overall. This class usually use lasers to defend themself or help others. They also usually have a weak telekinetic field, allowing them to pick up objects. According to DuncanDunclub, they are also able to fly, though this ability isn't seen ingame apart from bytes hovering higher off of the ground than other classes. This class is named after the real-life computer data measurement known as "Bytes".
- Nybble - The Nybble class is a weaker version of a character. This class is typically weaker than the standard class, but stronger than the Byte class, having lower health than the standard class, but being stronger than Byte-class individuals. Additionally, this class is usually shorter than the standard class, but larger than the Byte class. This class also tends to be more simplistic than the standard class, but not as simplistic as the Byte class. This class is named after the real-life computer data measurement known as "Nybbles(Nibbles)". They are typically used as cannon fodder.
- Biggum - The Biggum class is a slightly stronger version of a character. This class is typically stronger and larger than the standard class. They are usually Standards in the process of becoming the Brawler class. These classes use both weapons and their fists to defend themselves.
- Bodier - The Bodier class is the stronger version of a character. This class is typically stronger than the standard class, and also stronger than the Brawler and Biggum classes, having higher health and higher damage. This class also tends to be much heavier than the standard class, being visibly very thick in body structure similarly to a sumo wrestler.
- Titan - The Titan class is a much stronger version of a character. This class is typically much larger than the majority of the other classes, hence the class title "Titan". The Titan class is also very powerful, having very high health and damage in comparison to the majority of the other classes.
- Anthro - The Anthro class is a much stronger version of a character. This class is usually taller than the standard class, but not larger than classes such as the Titan class. These classes also have arms and legs, something which other classes don't have.
List of Alignment-exclusive Common Classes[]
Some common classes are not shared between characters regardless of alignment. Certain common classes are only seen within characters with certain alignments.
- Summoner - The Summoner class is a stronger version of a character. This class is usually exclusive to characters with the Corruption alignment, and is also usually larger than the standard class. These classes are used to summon other classes, though they have their limits.
- Worker - The Worker class is a slightly stronger version of a character. This class is usually exclusive to characters with the Corruption alignment, and is also slightly larger than the Standard class. These classes are used as heavy labor and typically get bossed around by corruptions.
- Butler - The Butler class is a slightly weaker version of a character. This class is usually exclusive to characters with the Corruption alignment, and is also slightly larger than the Standard class. These classes are used as servants to high-ranking corruptions. They don't usually go into combat and typically don't take orders from low-ranking corruptions.
- Brute - The Brute class is a stronger version of a character. This class is usually exclusive to characters with the Corruption alignment, and is also usually larger than the standard class. These classes are stronger, yet slower, and are very rare in combat.
More Facts[]
- The Brawler class was the first non-standard class to be added to Databrawl Battle Mode.
- In Legacy Lore, Bytes are canonically more powerful than Nybbles.
- According to DuncanDunclub, "Bytes, despite their size, are actually larger than Nybbles in power, their bodies have adapted to condense their size in a smaller frame and even use the condensed energy inside of them for various purposes, such as flying and energy-based attacks. The consequence of this is that they have thinner layers that struggle to protect their volatile cores, which can burst more exponentially than most units. Nybbles are the inverse, where they actually have smaller and/or less condensed cores, protected by thicker layers and allowing them to take more hits. This leads to shorter tempers and attention spans, however, making them harder to train. This is why they’re classified as cannon fodder."
- It is currently unknown if this also applies to Modern Lore.
- Hosts used to be a large and powerful Corruption-exclusive class. However, as for now they are scrapped and are not considered to be canon.
