Legacy Lore

This page contains many lore elements that are not considered part of the new, official lore. It's very unlikely that it will still be considered canon for new lore, but will maintain relevance in old lore.

The Cookie Factory, as its name implies, is an industrial building fitted with special facilities to mass-produce Cookies (the entity) and manufacture other baked goods, which can be sold and dispensed on site in the form of Cookies (the food), Data Pie, and Data Cake.

Despite being called a "factory" itself, it doesn't look like one, but rather a warm and inviting bakery.
- Originally, though, the Cookie Factory's previous incarnations had much more industrious and brutalist appearances, taking on the appearance of a tall, imposing factory.
The Cookie Factory was implemented to Databrawl Roleplay around August 2018.
There is a reference to a character named Nanny Gingersnap inside of the factory, which comes in the form of a post-it note posted on the dashboard within the Factory.
- This was a reference to one of Lemonfell's first RPs in the Databrawl server, and likely remained as an inside joke for an unknown amount of time.
During Databrawl's 2019 Halloween Event, the messages on the post-it notes in the Cookie Factory were all replaced with singular words. These singular words, one on each post-it, were "LEAVE", "THE", and "GAME". This was intended to spell out "LEAVE THE GAME", a reference to the Observer.
In one of its previous iterations, there was a pile of Program Hearts within a corner of its storage area.
At one point within the Cookie Factories first introduction to Databrawl Roleplay, Bloatware was not allowed inside the Cookie Factory, due to Bloatware commonly being used to eat Cookies at that point, the restriction was removed upon rule 2 being updated to mention eating players as an example of gross roleplay.
The old version of the Cookie Factory was added to Beta Databrawl on February 19 2021.
During the 2020 Christmas Update, there were notes added behind a crate in the factory. There were 5 notes behind the boxes at the front door. Notes read as follows, in no particular order:
- First note: "Pappy? Pappy... Come on now, wake up... Oh god. I think I've overcooked him! Why isn't he waking up!?"
  - Likely referring to Nanny Gingersnap and a commonly referenced or mentioned figure in Cookie lore: Pappy Snickerdoodle. There is no confirmation about his existence in said lore, hence it is likely outdated.
- The second and fifth note are SCP-styled documents about an entity referred to as OLZE-170. Possibly this is the only note in the Factory that refers to the outside world. The fifth note has a decal of a stock image of a server room that is supposed to be the entity. There is a direct link to the decal here: [1].
- Third note: "It smells a bit like cookies in here. And I hear Christmas music in the background... What's going on?"
- Fourth note: "Stuck! Stuck! Stuck! I can't handle myself in this wretched box anymore! Hopefully people could find a way to release me. A breath of fresh air for the first in almost 3 Earth-time months, ahh it might just be a wonderful time of my life that I've been through a living hell since day 1 of being trapped in this box. It almost feels like opening a portal to some weird, interdimensional hellscape won't be enough. But yet again... I just had to go through extreme amounts of height for the 56th time. Hopefully it dosen't happen again..."
  - Both notes above also refer to one of Lemonfell's RPs in the server. In context, this seems to refer to Nanny Gingembre.
During the 5th Anniversary Event, the Cookie Factory was completely demolished. It is currently in the process of being rebuilt.
During the Cookie Factory's construction, using the Floating Balloon, you could use a nearby Jump Pad to go into the chimney on top of the Cookie Factory. Upon doing so, you are teleported inside the Cookie Factory in front of the fireplace, as if you fell down through the chimney and landed on the fireplace. When the factory's construction entered its second phase, this feature was removed.
