Rules
This is the Databrawl Wiki's list of rules. In addition to these rules, the Databrawl Wiki follows the FANDOM Community Guidelines. The Databrawl Wiki also mostly follows the rules seen in the official Databrawl Discord server and the official Databrawl games. It is safe to assume that a rule seen from any of those platforms also applies here (unless it is stated otherwise).
The Databrawl Wiki has a three strike system. If users do not follow admins' requests to follow the rules, they will be blocked after the final third request. Exceptions can be made to this system depending on which rule was broken, if a user was previously blocked, and/or the severity to which a rule was broken. Thus, it is requested for users to listen to admins and fellow Wiki users if they ask them to cease any behavior that breaks the rules.
For first-time Wiki users, please read these rules and the Community Guidelines. If you have a question about a rule, feel free to contact an administrator about it. The list of administrators includes: DunclubDuncan, Xtriel, Lemonfell, BlueScreen10, Brikooo, and FunnyGuy325.
1. Use your common sense.
Please do not do things which will clearly cause problems, such as intentionally breaking the rules then expecting a positive reaction for your negative actions.
2. Be respectful to other users.
Please do not threaten, harass, dox, nor stalk other users.
Do not purposefully cause drama in the community, nor encourage any ongoing drama that may be occurring.
Please listen to other users' requests, such as if they ask you to stop doing something which genuinely bothers them.
In general, please treat other users with kindness.
3. Do not edit other users' profiles without permission.
Please do not edit another user's profile page unless they allow you to, or there is an important reason to do so (i.e. editing a user's profile page because it uses a template which is causing their profile to appear in the wrong category. Even in this scenario, it is strongly advised that you contact an administrator rather than trying to fix the issue yourself).
4. Do not vandalize.
Please do not vandalize the Wiki's content, such as through doing any actions that could be considered destructive to the Wiki.
5. Do not put messages on top of an article.
Please do not put a message like "Do not vandalize this page" on top of an article.
6. Do not swear excessively or use slurs.
Swearing is allowed to a degree here. However, it is requested that users do not swear at other users to be hostile (this breaks the "Be Respectful" rule).
Additionally, please do not say nor reference discriminatory (i.e. racial) slurs. These are not allowed to any degree.
7. Do not post sexual content.
Please do not post, nor reference sexual content (including fetishes such as crush, vore, inflation, latex transformations, etc.) on the wiki. This includes mentioning content creators who regularly create NSFW content, along with mentioning games that have relation to NSFW content.
8. No discrimination/hate speech.
Please do not engage in racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, and other forms of discriminatory behavior, such as through hate speech, harassing other users because of their race, sex, etc., and other behaviors.
9. Do not ban evade.
Ban evasion through creating alternate accounts to bypass a block is not tolerated here. Doing this will result in the alternate accounts being permanently blocked if they are discovered.
10. Do not scam or post harmful links.
Scamming and posting links designed to damage other users' computers, account, etc. is not allowed. Any messages containing bad links will be removed.
11. Do not mini-mod.
Please do not mini-mod other people who are breaking the rules. Mini-modding is acting as though you are a moderator when you are not one. Please note that it is permitted for users to tell fellow users if they are breaking the rules, and to request that they stop breaking the rules, but mini-modding is not permitted.
12. Do not impersonate.
Please do not claim to be an official staff member of the Wiki, nor a Contributor or Developer of Databrawl if you are not actually one.
13. Do not beg for staff.
Please do not push Wiki staff members into making you a Wiki staff member. Note that DunclubDuncan is the owner of the Wiki and is the one who selects Wiki staff members, thus, he is the one who will ultimately decide if you will be a staff member.
14. Do not spam.
Please do not spam, such as through (but not limited to):
- Putting extremely long blank spaces in comments that force users to scroll very far down in order to reach the rest of the comments.
- Making very long comment chains. Chains are allowed to a degree, but consider ending the chain once it starts getting around 8 messages long or more for chains that don't contain multi-lined paragraphs. For multi-lined paragraphs, consider ending the chain around 3-4 messages.
- Copying entire Wiki pages then placing them into comments.
- Writing the exact same comment repeatedly multiple times in a row on the same page within a small amount of time.
Please do not make article pages related to fan-made characters or other unofficial Databrawl content.
It is advised that if users want to share their fan-made Databrawl content on the Wiki, they do it via a blog post, personal page (i.e. a sandbox page), etc. that is not a regular Wiki page.
16. Please do not add content to pages that is unofficial.
Please do not add unofficial content to pages, such as fan-art (unless said fan-art appears/appeared in the game somewhere, i.e. artwork that was added to the Fan Art Gallery) or fan-created models (unless said models are officially added to the game).
17. Do not make posts about Databrawl content that was removed due to drama.
Please do not make posts that speak in detail about content that was removed due to its creator being banned and/or other drama. This includes comments talking about the creator and/or creation, article pages covering removed creations, etc.
If another user does not know the reason behind why a piece of Databrawl content was removed, you may provide them with a basic answer, however, once the answer is given, please do not continue conversating about the removed content.
Note that discussing removed content that was not removed due to drama-related reasons is allowed, such as discussing Memory Meadow or other pieces of removed content that do not have drama attached to them.
18. Please do not remove a warning.
If you obtained a warning/reminder from a moderator and you deleted the thread, it will result in another warning if discovered.
Suggestions
Suggestions which are not necessarily strict rules that are preferred to be followed at all times:
1. Rename your file.
If you are posting a file to a main Wiki page, please rename it so that it can be easily searched for. Additionally, if you are posting comic panels to a page, please put chronological numbers in the files' names so that the order of the panels will be obvious even if the panels lack a caption.
2. Please do not necropost.
It is suggested for necroposting to be avoided in some, but not all cases. Necroposting is posting a new comment on a thread that is very old and hasn't been active in a long time.
Necroposting can be fine in some cases. For example, if there's a 6 month old post asking a question that hasn't gotten a suitable answer yet, jumping in and answering is considered fine. When determining if you should necropost, consider the context of the post you're viewing.
3. Please be cautious about posting links to the Databrawl Discord server.
Due to the fact that Discord's Terms of Service states that users must be at least 13 years of age or older to use the Discord platform, the link to the Databrawl Discord server has been removed from the Databrawl Wiki's front page. This was done to discourage users under the age of 13 from joining the server.
To further avoid having underage users enter the server, it is advised (but not strictly required) that users do not openly advertise invite links to the Databrawl Discord server on the Wiki (sending links directly to certain users is not openly advertising, but posting a link on a community post that is intended to be seen by everyone who comes to the Wiki is). Note that on the Roblox platform, if a player's account indicates that they are 13+ years of age, they will automatically be able to see the invite link to the Databrawl Discord server on Databrawl's game pages.
4. Please do not use templates that are used strictly on official articles in your comments or other posts.
Please do not utilize templates such as "Stub", "NonCanon", etc. that are used strictly on official articles in your posts. This can result in the post being put into an official category it does not belong in. Any comments or blog posts found in categories they do not belong in will either be deleted or edited to not include the template by an administrator.
Staff Rules
1. Do not abuse your powers.
Moderators should not abuse their powers, such as through:
- Blocking people for an improper reason (i.e. blocking another user for no reason; blocking another user for simply having a different, non-harmful opinion; etc.)
- Giving harmful users such as vandals any level of moderation power.
- Intentionally destroying the Wiki (i.e. deleting all of the Wiki's pages for no reason other than to wreak havoc), which falls under the category of vandalism (see the vandalism rule listed above this section).
2. Do not feed the trolls.
Like FANDOM says, do not feed the trolls. If you do, you will get fired.
