This page contains many lore elements that are not considered part of the new, official lore. It's very unlikely that it will still be considered canon for new lore, but will maintain relevance in old lore.
Espacios are a species of Corruption that bear a strong resemblance to Pac-Man because of their own "payload."
Additionally, Espacios are the base variant of the Espacio species.
Databrawl (Battle version)[]
In the Battle Zone, Espacio is a Token-earnable character that players on the Corruption teams can get when a Special Token is acquired.
Stats[]
150HP, 23 WALKSPEED
Weapons/Abilities[]
Espacio Pickaxe - Espacios usually wield pickaxes. This is a reference to Espacio Mining, a fangame made by Brikooo. In Databrawl (battle version), the Espacio Pickaxe deals 44-48 damage and has a cooldown of 1.25 seconds. It is categorized as a "Swinging Melee" weapon.
Power Pellet - Espacios also wield power pellets which they can throw at enemies. In Databrawl (battle version), when a pellet hits a target or the ground, it makes a shockwave which slows the movement speed of anyone in radius for three seconds and deals 24-28 damage. It has a cooldown of 20 seconds and a radius of 20 studs.
Espacio Cabinets are a stronger class variant of Espacio that resembles arcade machines. On their screen, they have a Pac-Man shaped icon, which changes the direction it faces in order to show different emotions (such as facing upwards to show anger, facing downwards to show joy, facing right when neutral, and facing left when shocked/scared). Espacio Cabinets also have hands that resemble Pac-Man.
Weapons/Abilities[]
Ground Smash - Espacio Cabinets have the ability to perform an AOE "Ground Smash" attack by slamming their fists into the ground, which causes a cloud of yellow dust to rise from the ground.
Megapunchers - Espacio Cabinets have the ability to punch their enemies with their fists, called "Megapunchers".
More Facts[]
- Espacio Cabinets were remodeled on July 26, 2022.

Espacio Seekers are a small and quite retro class variant of Espacio. They resemble the Ghosts seen in the classic arcade Pac-Man game.
The "Seeker" name is derived from the appearance of a Seeker, which references the Pac-Man ghosts, which will 'seek' Pac-Man.

Espacio Manufacturers are a variant of Espacio that builds other Espacio variants, such as the Espacio Cabinets.
Espacio Manufacturers heavily rely on their stems being connected to them for survival, since if the stems are cut off, Espacio Manufacturers become significantly less intelligent. This results in them losing their ability to create machines (for example, presumably other variants of Espacios), and over time, their condition will progressively worsen until they cease functioning entirely.
Not much else is known about Espacio Manufacturers at the moment.
More Espacio Manufacturer Facts[]
- Espacio Manufacturers have gone through several design changes throughout their existence.
- Espacio Manufacturers were added to DBRP at February 6th, 2021
- Espacio Manufacturers are based off of the Cherries from Pac-Man.

Real World Counterpart[]
Espacio is based on an old virus that specifically targets MS-DOS operating systems. When it infects a computer, the virus sets a timer for 25 minutes, after which it launches the classic arcade game Pac-Man. Despite not causing any harm while the game is running, if the user terminates the game, the timer halves, gets reset to 12.5 minutes, and the process repeats itself indefinitely. This loop continues until the system halts entirely due to the endless loop of restarts. To see Espacio in action, click here

Notable Espacios[]
Notable Factions[]
- The Espacio collective.
- Eslocos Food Service (Offers burritos, tacos, and other similar foods via taco trucks.)
- Espacio Arcadians (Run arcades and make Programs play Pac-Man, mostly by force.)
- Espacio Pizza 'Ployees (Have primary pizza establishments, as well as supplementary involvement in the arcades.)
- Espacio Miners (Delve deep into the computer's internals in search of minerals for usage.)
- Nonspecific Espacios that don't fit into the above categories.
- Deslocos (A splinter faction and enemies to the Espacio collective.)
- Deslocos Tacos (Use stolen and repurposed Eslocos equipment to steal profits from Eslocos Food Service.)
- Espacimercs (Mercenaries who seek new purpose outside of the collective, often as hired guns for Virus armies.)
- Exiles (Espacios who do not deem Pac-Man worthy of praise, and are therefore deemed as enemies to the collective. Gilbert is an example of an Exile.)
More Facts[]
- Espacios are made of small cubes, and they will break off in canon if they take damage. This is based on the visible pixels on Pac-man's original sprite.
- Before Bloatware was introduced to the Special Character list (shrunken version), Espacio was one of the most used characters for trolling.
- Espacio once started out as a joke character.
- Even though Espacio's concept was in the Fan Art Gallery far before it was a character.
- "Espacio" means space in Spanish, hence having to be originated from Spain/Cuba. It's name refers to the space bar press required to start the game of Pac-man. It could also be a reference to the real creator of Espacio, NASA-MAN, which features NASA, the American outer space and aquatic exploration agency.
- Like Frie, the Espacio Seeker had an angry face. The angry face is also similar to Frie's, producing angry eyebrows above both eyes. However, the eyebrows were bigger, and squares. This was accessible by a glitch that allows you to equip mines as a Byte. This was revealed by TheChezGuest but is no longer available due to a revamp on September 7, 2019.
- On February 4, 2020, Espacio was moved to the Default section in Databrawl Roleplay.
- Espacio Cabinets originally had a somewhat different design. This design was updated to the current design sometime in early 2020.
- There was once a class variant of Espacio called "Espacio Professional". It was a Brawler-class Espacio just like Espacio Cabinet, and canonically existed back in 2018 (but was not in-game). It is unknown when exactly Espacio Professionals were scrapped, but it can be presumed that in a way, Espacio Cabinets replaced Espacio Professionals.
- Standard Espacio obtained Accessories on July 7, 2020. These accessories, while being able to be used to accurately recreate the Restricted "Gilbert" character (since Gilbert's accessories aren't unique and can be accessed as a regular Espacio), did not cause Gilbert to get removed from the Restricted character roster.
- Espacio is a big meme in the Databrawl Community, and is often paired with the song "Pac-Man Fever" and the phrase "The Pac is Back" from other Pac-man media.
- Espacio Furries are Bees.
- The "Small Eyes" accessory for Espacio is based off of a poorly made Creepypasta about Databrawl. This creepypasta is shown here.
- The "Elongated" accessory for Espacio is based off Melospacio from Espacio Mining.
- The "Mouthless" accessories for Espacio are based off Neo from Espacio Mining.
- The "Cat Sunhat" accessory for Espacio is based off Niko from OneShot, which is also the basis for Briko's self insert.
- There were once alternate types of Espacios, however, when Databrawl's lore was updated in 2020 so that highly specific Corruptions do not have alternate types, the alternate Espacios became non-canon.
- A chart depicting canon (except Pellet) Espacio classes suggests that Standard Espacios are called Espacio Miners.
- Espacio has a restricted version called "scary". It is a brightly colored older espacio model with small eyes, referencing an infamous Databrawl Creepypasta, one of the memes in the community.
- Similarly, there is a restricted version of Espacio simply named "run". It is the same as the regular Espacio model, but with closed eyes and what seem to be big orange lips.
- During the 2021 April Fools update, Espacio was added as a Special Token spawn for corruptions. This makes Espacio the 3rd character to be introduced to battle mode during an event and stay after the event is over, with the first being Happy99 and the second being Edgygram.
- Espacio has a second restricted version, titled Bert. It was Frederick Crung model with the head being replaced with an Espacio head. It was removed sometime after April Fools 2021, but readded during April Fools 2022.
- Every Espacio voice clip is an edited Pac-Man sound effect. They even play the famous Pac-Man death sound upon death. Before this, they had no voice clips at all. They can be accessed manually by pressing Z, X, C, V, B, N and M.
- Espacios can beatbox.
- Espacios typically join Virus armies as mercenaries, due to real-life Espacio being classified as viruses.
- Espacios' Power Pellet throwing attacks could be a reference to Pac-Man World, where Pac-Man could throw the smaller Pac-Dots he collected.
- During the 2022 Halloween Event, Espacios became gray, had their eyes removed, and were known as "Espacio Zombies". This is a reference to the Databrawl fangame "Espacio Mining", where enemies called "Zombies" with the same appearance are one of the main enemies you fight.
- Espacio Zombies have different voice lines from a regular Espacio when pressing Z, X, C, V, B, or N. They are composed of sound effects from Call of Duty zombies, and they are disproportionately loud compared to other voice clips from characters.
- Espacio’s limbs are somewhat based off of the atypical maze designs seen in the real Espacio’s version of Pac-Man, in which the maze’s corners are more trapezoidal in shape rather than round.
