Events, like you'd expect, are special updates to the game that only last for a set amount of time. The significance of these events can range from being as small as just recoloring parts of the map to introducing new features or characters. Throughout Databrawl's existence, there has been a plethora of events in both versions of the game.

The 4th of July event was a small event that happened in 2018, celebrating the 4th of July. Though this technically is an event, very little differs from the main game and all changes were cosmetic and did not affect gameplay.

Changes[]

  • Programs were recolored blue
  • Viruses were recolored green
  • Malware were recolored orange
  • Motherboard statue was changed into a bald eagle
  • Skybox was changed into an image of the Earth from space
  • Fireworks were going off in the sky
  • A majority of the map was recolored to be red white and blue

More facts[]

  • Despite technically not being an event, Databrawl did receive an update for the 4th of July in 2019 in the form of the character Happy99.

Jokebrawl Dontplay is the rename given to Databrawl Roleplay during the April Fools Event. During this event, many restricted characters are playable by everyone, even if they are not Contributor or above. And the map gets slightly altered to a more humorous look.

In the first Jokebrawl Dontplay, characters were scattered in all packs. Some were public, others group, and the rest of the public characters behind a paywall. Players were equipped with most of the Contributor tools (Back-Off Bat, Spam Evade).

In the second, none were. They were all either Public or Group Exclusive. The Contributor tools returned (the same tools from the first, as usual).

In the third, every single character was public except for a few characters. It was updated a few hours later to include all restricted characters (excluding self-inserts), the Physics tool and an extremely descended Fire Pit. McDod was "removed" (moved), and there were fireworks with Terence from Angry Birds as the particle image. The boarded off door in Coolant Factory was unblocked, allowing you to go to McDod, where you could get Physics, the disguise tool, and cloak. The disguise kit giver was eventually removed. The game was updated late, causing some people to suspect that Jokebrawl Dontplay would not come.

In the 3.9'th version, everything was similar to the third, except the map was slightly changed, with Coolant Refinery becoming the "Oil Refinery" and getting filled with America memorabilia, and the Bits Exchange Databank becoming filled with NFTs. The Processor Palace was also completely changed to resemble the Queen's Palace from Deltarune.

Unlike the other events, there were two iterations to the events name, 3.9, and 3.95. The 3.95'th version was more restricted in terms of avalible tools and characters, but also added some changes to the map.

In the fourth version, tons of map changes happened, such as the return of Walm (with cursed Espacios, unique characters, & even Sonic from the Sonic franchise & The Boss from the JSAB franchise inside.), the Mcdod becoming Peppino’s Pizza, Software Sweets becoming Waffle House, and the Data Bank becoming Garten Of BanBan. Firewall & Virus also swapped places and the Malware camps got a bank, alongside other miscellaneous changes.

In the fifth version, even more map changes happened. To put it in concise terms, McDod was replaced with the 8-12, Bits Exchange Databank became clickbait, Antiware Hospital became a casino, SOMETHING happened to both Program Apartments and Inception Antivirus Base, Coolant Refinery spilled a bunch of broken glass everywhere, the Malware Encampment was submerged, and the Virus Encampment was overrun with spikes. Additionally, several completely new locations were added, including a wild west area modeled by Danieloftheday, an area dedicated to Databrawl Minus (an ironic databrawl fan game made by Cryebral), and a Malware bar hidden in the mines. Even more additionally, a horrible cat now roams one particular stretch of road every 1-6 seconds, vocalizing constantly and launching anything in its path. Even MORE additionally, Gaming For Us now exists in the Databrawl world across from a very scary Bloaty's Burgz. Though very little known by the community, the Fan Art Gallery was updated with two workers at the reception and adding new pictures, all saying 'I farted' on them.
