Legacy Lore

This page contains many lore elements that are not considered part of the new, official lore. It's very unlikely that it will still be considered canon for new lore, but will maintain relevance in old lore.

Everfrozen Rudolph is a highly contorted and mutated reindeer. They are a badge-earned character that is earned for getting the badge Frost Famine and an event exclusive boss in the Hectic Holiday events.

In battle version, Everfrozen Rudolph spawns every few minutes and forces spawns closer to the center of the map, whilst a raging blizzard blocks access to the further edges of the battlefield and darkens the sky, setting the mood. The blizzard itself will begin seconds before the boss actually spawns. When this boss spawns, a "Damage Threshold" bar will appear at the top of the screen which is individually tracked per player, meaning each player will need to deal a significant amount of damage on their own in order to earn their prize. When this meter is full, the player must help others defeat the boss in order to obtain the Frost Famine badge.

If players fail to kill the Everfrozen Rudolph within a set time, the boss will despawn and the blizzard encasing the map will worsen, making everything harder to see for a period of time and slowing down players significantly as shards rain down from the sky (similar to the meteors from previous iterations of the Team Boost mechanic). After a couple of minutes, the map becomes clear once again, and no one obtains the badge from the fight, meaning they will need to try again once Everfrozen Rudolph returns. A video example of this is available through here.

Lore[]

Everfrozen Rudolph is canonically huge, and has the heads of all of the other reindeer it absorbed (Thus having 9 heads.). It suffers from an unending hunger that cannot be satisfied. Being an embodiment of winter hardships, it lurks only on the edges of the Holly Computer where the blizzard is strongest and mauls any living code it crosses paths with. Though it did not simply manifest this way. After long being mistreated by its kin for being partially corrupted, it eventually succumbed to the instincts its malicious code had grafted onto it and devoured every other reindeer. The consumption of innocence rapidly sped up the corrupting process until all there was left was a decaying starved body and a single goal; consume.

Stats[]

Everfrozen Rudolph's health scales depending on how many people are in the server, making it so there's technically no set health. Specifically, if there's more than one player in the server, the game multiplies the number of players by 0.375, and then multiplies that number by 5,000 on top of that. With only one player, its health is 5,000. With the maximum amount of players, 48, its health is 93,125. It needs 2,500 damage dealt to it by one person in order for them to earn the badge.

Weapons/Abilities[]

Crouching State - When crouching, Everfrozen Rudolph gets a defense increase (25% damage reduction), and is usually triggered by Everfrozen Rudolph being in close proximity to another player and unable to do an attack.

Tail Sweep - Will happen 1/3 of the time if two people are in range of Everfrozen Rudolph. This attack will do 40 damage and knockback to players unfortunate enough to be in its radius, hits in a large hitbox around Everfrozen Rudolph.

Chilling Roar - If the conditions for Tail Sweep aren't met and three people are in the Blizzard's range, this attack will trigger, and Everfrozen Rudolph will roar, creating an AOE field around it. Being in the Blizzard field will not only deal damage over time (2 damage for each hit), but will also slow you down with a x0.75 speed multiplier. However, this effect doesn't stack. In DBRP, this does not create an AOE.

Craving Charge - Has a 1/3rd chance of occurring when in range, but if Everfrozen Rudolph is crouching, then it has a 2/3rd chance of occurring. Everfrozen Rudolph will crouch down and wait for a bit, then charge. When hitting a Rudolph or any non-special variant of Hollygram with this move, it will grab them by the jaws (which deals 20 initial damage instead of 30) and begin biting down on them until their eventual death. This move is an instakill. However, to others, it will simply deal 30 damage and knockback. The knockback even applies to usually unflingable characters, like CIH, Bloatware, Hardware, etc. If this attack misses without hitting a wall, Everfrozen Rudolph will go back into a crouching state, making consecutive charges likelier. In DBRP, this does not affect players, but will play the knockback animation when striking a player.

Icicle Spout - Occurs when a player is too far to slash. Everfrozen Rudolph will begin aiming for a while, and then fire an icicle out of its mouth at where it predicts the player will be, dealing 60 damage if it hits. In DBRP, this can be aimed wherever the player wishes and can break windows.

Ice Talon Swipe - Everfrozen Rudolph will speed up for a bit and run after its target. When either close enough or timed out, it will slash with claws to deal 35 damage.

Upwards Ice Talon Swipe - This attack occurs when the target player is midair or high up. Unlike normal slashes, this slash will allow Everfrozen Rudolph to move slowly during its startup and then attempt to place itself under the target before unleashing the Attack. Upwards Ice Talon Swipe deals 15 more damage (50 total) compared to the regular slash and was made to punish Spam Jumpers.

Scare Immunity - Everfrozen Rudolph is unable to be scared by Scarewares.

Mine Knockback Immunity - Everfrozen Rudolph is unable to be flung by Mines.

Flame Resistance - Everfrozen Rudolph cannot be burned by the fire of 99Degrees.

Anti-Lingering AOE - Any type of lingering damaging AOE (such as Fire Canisters for example) nearby the Everfrozen Rudolph will disappear.

Anti-Invisibility Vision - Everfrozen Rudolph is able to see any cloaked/invisible characters, including Scarewares.

Anti-Fire Pit Instakill - If the Everfrozen Rudolph falls into the Fire Pit, it will simply teleport back to where it spawns instead of killing it instantly.

More Facts[]

  • Everfrozen Rudolph is based off of the mythological creature named Wendigo, particularly the version that resembles a deer.
  • In lore, Everfrozen Rudolph was originally a mutated Rudolph. However, this was eventually decanonized, with Rudolphs now merely being mimics of the original reindeer.
    • It is currently unknown just what these reindeer were or what they looked like, but it can be assumed they were friendly in alignment.
  • Everfrozen Rudolph was originally named Wendigo. However, on June 29, 2023, it was officially renamed to “Everfrozen Rudolf” due to recent events involving Native Americans. On July 3, 2023, it was renamed once more to Everfrozen Rudolph due to that being the correct spelling of “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”.
