Hardware Generals are Anthro-class Hardware units that are known to be bigger than Mainframe. Overall, Hardware Generals look similar to each other, but can have a few visual differences from each other, such as small additions to their armor or different patterns in their helmets.

Unlike most Hardware units, Hardware Generals are sentient and have personalities. However, most Hardware Generals are,"[...] cold, unfriendly and generally do not care for conversation [...]" -DuncanDunclub. An exception to this the Processor's Hardware General, who has a friendly and knightly personality, and even carries a storybook that he reads to Programs. This particular Hardware General looks dramatically different from typical Generals. He has a golden coloration that matches the color of the Processor Palace, fine details and a few moving parts along the front of his helmet to portray emotions. He also serves as a leader for the other Generals.

There are multiple Hardware Generals within a computer, and they fight to defend the computer once it's under a major attack. Each Hardware General watches over a sector of the computer, and all Hardware units (including Hardware Wisps) in a particular sector are commanded by the sector's General. Meanwhile, the Generals (including the Processor's General, presumably) follow the orders of Mainframe.

Weapons/Abilities[]

Each Hardware General uses a different weapon to combat against Corruptions, meaning that no two Hardware Generals in a computer fight in the same manner.

More Hardware General Information[]

  • Hardware General Wisps can be corrupted by Corruptions. In order for this to happen, the Wisp must be greatly weakened, then constrained to prevent it from fighting back. Then, a group of powerful Corruptions (such as Summoners and Liches) must be gathered to begin the conversion. Additionally, any defenders trying to protect the Wisp must be warded off during the conversion process. Once a Hardware General Wisp is corrupted, the Hardware General's appearance changes to match the appearance of its corruptors (i.e. if a Hardware General is corrupted by a Virus, its appearance will change to be more Virus-esque), and all remaining Hardware units and Wisps that belong to the now-corrupted General will be corrupted alongside the General.
  • The Processor's Hardware General can be corrupted like regular Hardware General, however, if he is corrupted, his corruption won't spread to other Hardware. However, it will affect the other Hardware Generals on an emotional level.
