Legacy Lore

This page contains many lore elements that are not considered part of the new, official lore. It's very unlikely that it will still be considered canon for new lore, but will maintain relevance in old lore.

Note: A majority of the information on this page is extremely outdated. Keep this in mind while viewing this page.

Not to be confused with the Hybrid species.

Hybrid is a malicious data A.I. who is extremely powerful and ginormous. He is one of Databrawl's antagonists, and may possibly appear in Databrawl's Story Mode.

It was originally canon that he was created by three humans, those humans being Victor, Malcom, and a scientist named Doctor Hynsen, however Victor, Malcom, and Doctor Hynsen are no longer canon, so it is unknown who created Hybrid.

Weapons/Abilities[]

Hybrid has drones which he controls from across vast distances. He can even control his drones from multiple computers away. Hybrid can make these drones attack people, manipulate people, and can use them for surveillance. However, the power level of the Hybrid Drones is limited. In combat, their strength depends on how far away they are from Hybrid himself. The farther the distance, the less of their full arsenal they can use.

Hybrid is also capable of forcing opposing Corruption species to combine with each other.

More Facts[]

  • Hybrid can resist the mind control of Greater Hosts.
  • According to some concept art that DuncanDunclub made back around January 25, 2019, Hybrid is actually a Program. The concept art was originally meant to depict a regular Program that was damaged in a way that made it no longer able to show emotions, however, Duncan then thought to make it as Hybrid's true form instead.
  • The concept art for Hybrid created by Duncan on October 9th, 2018 shares similarities to GLaDOS from Portal.
  • Hybrid used to be capable of transporting things from the non-digital world (the world in which normal organic people live) into the Dataverse. Living entities who got transported by Hybrid into the Dataverse would die instantly. This ability is now scrapped.
