They were a joke character, and are not meant to be taken as literal part of Databrawl's canon lore.

- Metal Program used to be a Restricted character. When it was a Restricted character, its in-game description read as follows: "Datamelee"
- Metal Program was a reference to the Super Smash Bros. games, more specifically Metal Mario and judging by its original description from back when it was a Restricted character, it is specifically a reference to Super Smash Bros. Melee.
- Metal Program was one of the four joke characters that aren't in the restricted tab, along with Frie, Chur, and Weenieware.
- Metal Programs were removed from Databrawl Roleplay on January 12, 2023.
