This page contains many lore elements that are not considered part of the new, official lore. It's very unlikely that it will still be considered canon for new lore, but will maintain relevance in old lore.
Plants are environmental structures found in the Dataverse. They resemble real-life plants such as trees, bushes, hedges, etc. So far, there are 3(?) known plant types in the Dataverse. Only the name of one of the plants has been confirmed as canon currently.
Plant Types[]
- Holo Trees. (also known as hologram trees)
- The plants found in Program Apartments.
- The hedges found in Mother Park.
More Facts[]
- Holo Trees are the most commonly seen Data-plant species seen in-game.
- Holo Trees were once named after the Vienna computer virus, being called "Vienna Trees" instead of "Holo Trees". Lemonfell was the one who named the Vienna Trees. Before Lemonfell named them, DuncanDunclub simply stated that their official name was "holotrees" (a portmanteau of "hologram"/"holographic" and "tree") or just "trees".
- A particular Holo Tree called Mr. Snuggins appeared as an easter egg in the Cookie Factory during Databrawl's 2019 and 2020 Christmas Event. This Holo Tree, unlike the Holo Trees that are usually seen in-game, was red. Additionally, it had a Cookie-esque scent and owned a suitcase. The tree was conceptualized by Lemonfell. According to Lemonfell, in lore, every Christmas season, Mr. Snuggins visits the Cookie Factory, and rumor has it that inside of its suitcase is a bunch of presents for Cookies. To move around, Mr. Snuggins and its suitcase gets carried by a group of Cookies.
- DuncanDunclub has implied that Holo Trees are fake, and that more natural-looking trees exist elsewhere.
