Legacy Lore

This page contains many lore elements that are not considered part of the new, official lore. It's very unlikely that it will still be considered canon for new lore, but will maintain relevance in old lore.

Prince ROMs are a royal Program variant that wears a crown and chest clothing part.

Lore[]

In Databrawl's lore, ROMs are Programs who attended a Memory Academy, learned the knowledge provided there, and ascended into royalty. This means that Prince ROM is not the name of an individual character, but rather, the title of an entire rank of Program.

Databrawl Battle Version[]

In the Battle version of Databrawl, Prince ROM is one of the several Special Token-earnable characters for the Program team.

Stats[]

In the Battle Zone, Prince ROMs have 175HP. They also have a walkspeed of 23 studs per second.

Weapons/Abilities[]

Solemn Blade - Prince ROMs carry large swords. These swords deal 32 to 36 damage, have a cooldown of 0.875, and are classified as "Ceremonial Melee".

Royal Rage - Prince ROM's also have the ability to make a radius around them, much like Princess RAMs. However, this radius does not resemble a bubble or work as a shield. Instead, it is a radius that buffs all allies in it. Specifically, it buffs damage, speed, and jump by 0.25, 0.375, and 0.25 respectively. The ROM itself also gets buffed by 0.125 (damage), 0.125 (speed) and 0.25 (jump). It has a diameter of 28 studs and a cooldown of 40 seconds.

Additionally, like all royal entities, Prince ROMs can sense whenever the computer User is using a program, application, a Sage, etc., directly.

Real World Counterpart[]

In real life, ROM is a type of memory that tells the computer how to perform basic instructions, such as starting up or initializing hardware components. ROM stands for Read-Only Memory. As the title suggests, it's read only, meaning it can't be altered like RAM. It just stays the way it is forever, even when the computer gets turned off.

Alternate Types[]

There are alternate types of Prince ROMs, with the default type being the mascot of the Prince ROM species:

  • Pretty
  • Shy
  • Default
  • Love
  • Muscle
  • Utopi
  • Government
  • Hatra
  • Smart
  • Retro
  • Holly

More Facts[]

  • ROMs, like any other Program, can become corrupted. Canonically, corrupted ROMs are typically placed into high positions of leadership in Corruption armies due to their immense knowledge on computers. They retain some of their past memories, just like other high-ranking Program figures such as RAMs, Motherboards, etc. Corrupted ROMs also,"[...] tend to keep their round, programmy body when converted to corruptions, but sometimes they change in shape". -DuncanDunclub
  • According to DuncanDunclub, It is possible for ROMs to become anthros, however, it is a very rare sight to see. The same thing goes for Princess RAMs. A non-canon example would be Prince Dungram.
  • On June 7, 2023, Prince ROMs were remodeled into their current model.
  • On July 5, 2020, Prince ROMs received a character icon in Databrawl Roleplay. Previously, their icon was a placeholder icon that showed a Program silhouette with a question mark on its head.
  • On October 5, 2020, Prince ROMs received a classic prevamp accessory that made them look stylized to match the character models of Databrawl Roleplay's earlier days (2018-2019). Prince ROMs were not actually in Databrawl Roleplay during the time period that their prevamp accessory was based off of. This means that their prevamp design isn't a real historic design that preceded their current design, but rather, a design that was newly created as a stylized imagining of how ROMs might've looked had they existed in Databrawl Roleplay during that time. Due to bugs, the classic prevamp accessory was removed November 8, 2020.
    • Prince ROM's "classic" design interestingly had a golden crown and chest clothing part unlike Princess RAM's classic design.
  • It was once conceptualized for Prince ROMs to have an ability where they could create defensive walls to block attacks. These walls were at some point described as being "push walls" that would move forward. This ability was never finalized and placed into the game. The ability is now DECANONIZED. Additionally, it was once conceptualized for Prince ROMs to use lances as weapons instead of using their bare fists like Princess RAMs, but this concept was never finalized nor implemented either. Less is known about the "lance" concept than the "wall" concept, as it was not as fleshed out as the "wall" concept, and like the "wall" concept, is now considered non-canon.
  • Both Prince ROMs and Princess RAMs are classified as minors.[1]
