This page contains many lore elements that are not considered part of the new, official lore. It's very unlikely that it will still be considered canon for new lore, but will maintain relevance in old lore.
Princess RAMs are a variant of Program with a dress and crown that can summon bubble shields.
Lore[]
In Databrawl's lore, Princess RAMs are Programs who were chosen to attend a Memory Academy (located inside the physical stick of RAM) and learned how to become RAMs. This means that "Princess RAM" is not the name of an individual character, but rather the title of an entire rank of Program.
Databrawl (Battle version)[]
In the Battle version of Databrawl, Princess RAM is one of the several Special Token-earnable characters for the Program team. They use an ally medic icon instead of the regular heart icon.
Stats[]
In the Battle Zone, Princess RAMs have 150HP. They also have a walkspeed of 23 studs per second.
Weapons/Abilities[]
Projected Pummel - Princess RAMs have the ability to punch using their fists, which deal 24 to 28 damage. This attack has a cooldown of 0.6 seconds and is categorized as a "Bare Knuckles" attack. Due to only having their fists as defense which can actually cause harm to enemies, Princess RAMs are not considered very suitable to play aggressively. These fists were originally known as "Trained Fists".
Parry - Additionally, pressing "Q" while using Projected Pummel will allow you to parry. Parrying right as an opponent's attack hits you will cause them to be knocked back. This can be broken if too much damage is dealt to the RAM in a single attack while the Parry is being preformed. In Databrawl Roleplay, the parrying animation can happen while simply clicking during the brief period where the player is about to parry.
Princess Protection - Princess RAMs can summon a green, semi-transparent bubble shield known as "Princess Protection", which has a diameter of 30 studs. The shield can deflect projectiles, including Mines (it cannot deflect the blast, however). In addition to deflecting projectiles, Corruptions cannot walk through the bubble shield, but Programs and Firewalls can. The Princess Protection ability can also heal Programs and Firewalls that stand inside of the bubble shield. The bubble shield can even heal characters which normally cannot heal, like Bloatware. The shield heals 5 HP every 0.5 seconds for 11.5 seconds. However, the shield can be broken, as it has a finite amount of health (400HP). If it is damaged enough, it will turn yellow. If it has been damaged more, it will turn red indicating it will break on a few more hits. This ability has a cooldown of 30 seconds.
Additionally, like all royal entities, Princess RAMs can sense whenever the computer User is using a Program, application, a Sage, etc., directly.
Real World Counterpart[]
In real life, RAM is a type of memory that provides temporary storage for the OS. RAM stands for "Random Access Memory". When a computer program is used, the information for the program is copied into the computer's RAM to be retrieved when needed. Unlike ROM, RAM can be altered and is erased when the computer turns off.
Alternate Types[]
There are alternate types of Princess RAMs, with the default type being the mascot of the Princess RAM species:
More Facts[]
- According to DuncanDunclub, It is possible for RAMs to become anthros, however, it is a very rare sight to see. The same thing goes for Prince ROMs.
- RAMs, just like any other Program, can get corrupted. Lorewise, corrupted RAMs are typically placed into high positions of leadership in Corruption armies due to their immense knowledge of PCs. They retain some of their past memories after getting corrupted just like other high-ranking Program figures like ROMs, Motherboards, etc. Corrupted RAMs also,"[...] tend to keep their round, programmy body when converted to corruptions, but sometimes they change in shape" -DuncanDunclub.
- Originally, Princess RAMs had a different design which had a different crown design. At some point, the design for RAMs was changed to the current in-game design. On June 7, 2023, Princess RAMs were remodeled again into their current model.
- RAM was available as a group exclusive at some point till Character Pack #3 came out.
- RAMs originally had a character icon, but, when Character Pack #3 came out, the icon was changed to a grey Program with a question mark on it's head. Then, on July 5, 2020, the icon changed to its current appearance.
- When RAM was added to battle, the shield wasn’t solid to Corruptions. After that was fixed, the shield still wasn’t able to be broken for a while.
- The sound effect for a Princess RAM activating their Princess Protection move is an audio titled "Force Shield On" which can be viewed here.
- In the game's code, Princess RAMs actually have a walkspeed of 4 studs per second, but during actual gameplay, multipliers are applied to the walkspeed value (in addition to other values that are technically set to 4 in the game's code such as health, damage/healing amounts for moves, etc.) to give the impression of RAMs having 25 walkspeed. This method of adjusting character stats is also used for various other characters.
- Originally, Princess RAMs had "Quick Fists" in Databrawl (battle version). They were estimated to deal around 16-20 damage, a similar level of a damage to Premium Programs' Quick Fists.
- Both Princess RAMs and Prince ROMs are classified as minors.[1]
- There is a statue of Princess RAM similar to the Motherboard Statue found underneath the map. It is unknown what its purpose was at the moment, and the statue was removed on March 24, 2024.
