Program Apartments is a three-story residential building where Programs live. It is located directly across the street from the Coolant Refinery and near the Hard Disco.
It has multiple apartment units, all with doors that can only be opened by entities on the Program team in Databrawl's Battle Zone. It has three floors, and the roof, which can be accessed by a jump pad located on the third floor.
Structure Identifications[]
Reception Lobby[]
The Reception Lobby is presumably where Programs check into their apartment rooms, among other things. It is connected to the Staff Room and situated in the middle of the apartment complex.
Hallways[]
Program Apartments has six long hallways within it, two for each floor. These hallways connect all of the apartment units together.
Apartment Units[]
As stated in the opening paragraph of this page, the Program Apartments has many apartment units within it, most of which are nearly, if not completely, identical to each other. There is one exception however, as seen below.
In Roleplay, two Bank ID Cards can be found separately in rooms D3 and B3. There are also intractable fridges in these rooms, though interacting with them does nothing but play a brief sound.
In Battle Mode, the A3 apartment unit is destroyed and in ruins.
Room F4 ("His Room")[]
Room F4 is noticeably more decrepit compared to the other Program Apartment rooms, with its main door not working and the room itself being trashed. Additionally, it is extremely dark, with it being hard to make out anything. Originally, the only three methods for entering this room were to spawn as an Edgygram, break the window at the back of the room that hasn't been boarded up yet, or to use shift lock at the door entrance and fit through some of the blocked wooden planks. Nowadays, Room F4 can be easily entered through the room's balcony, though Edgygram still naturally spawns in there.
Room F4's state is presumably a reference to a Windows command, Alt+F4, that when pressed, the current active window will be abruptly closed. This particular unit is also owned by Edgygram, which possibly explains its current state.
In battle, the F4 Room is a regular, non-ominous room that has had the Eslocos Truck crash into it. Somehow.
Staff Only Room[]
A room directly connected to the Reception Lobby. This is where the staff of Program Apartments sit back and relax until they are needed. The Storage Room's entrance directly connects to here.
This room is completely absent in Battle Mode, with the door leading to the room being nonfunctional.
Storage Room[]
A room designed to store all the necessary items needed to upkeep the apartment building. Accessible only through the staff only room, this room hosts a number of shelves stacked with boxes, as well as some sacks scattered on the floor. The entrance hatch to the Basement is also here, but staff are advised not to go down there (it's locked anyways).
Soccer Field[]
Behind the apartment building is a fully functioning soccer field. Available for anyone to use, this area comes equipped with two goals and a soccer ball. If a player knocks the ball into one of the goals, a celebratory confetti burst will erupt from the corresponding goal, followed by a short fanfare. Afterwards, a display of the scores of both teams will show in the middle of the field, which'll then be replaced by a countdown that, when it ends, drops the ball, starting a new round of soccer.
Eslocos Taco Truck[]
On one of the edges of the soccer field is a food truck run by Espacios that sells Eslocos Tacos. Inside the food truck, a pair of fryers and Eslocos Taco spawners, three sacks containing the ingredients for the Eslocos Tacos, and a triangular couch can be found.
In general, it is based on of "Eslocos," a joke within the Databrawl community which is depicted by Espacio-themed tacos.
In battle, the Eslocos Truck is rammed into the F4 apartment unit. (Seen above.)
More Facts[]
- Originally, Program Apartments was smaller, the rooms were completely bare, and there were no opening/closing doors. Then, the size of Program apartments was expanded. After that, furniture was added to the rooms of Program Apartments, and then opening/closing doors were added.
- The Program Apartments building used to have a basement door on the side of it. This door is not attached to an actual room, and cannot be entered. Additionally, there used to be an @@ crystal behind the wall that the door is attached to. If a player attempts to approach the crystal and also clip into the wall, eerie music will play. This is most likely a reference to the basement ruse that was created by several Databrawl community members in the Databrawl Discord server. The ruse told a story about a fake hidden basement in Program Apartments that could only be accessed if players clipped underneath the map and touched the @@ crystal under the map (which was in a different location before the update that caused it to be moved behind the basement door). Players soon discovered that touching the @@ crystal did nothing, causing the false nature of the basement story to be made more clear. To this day, there is still no hidden basement in Program Apartments, only a reference to the ruse.
- This is likely a reference to the fact that F4 belongs to Edgygram canonically.
- Strangely enough, within the battle version, the Basement says it can be opened due to proximity prompt, despite that, every attempt to open it will result in the word "Locked." appearing on your screen.
- Despite it saying locked, it can never be unlocked, with any attempt with any character having the exact same results. It will likely never become unlockable in the future.
- In current updates, the basement was removed in 6/29/2024. (Battle Version)
- A few days before the 2021 Jokebrawl Dontplay event, Apartment unit F1 had its couch replaced with a toilet. This toilet had an unknown, yellowish liquid inside it. This toilet was removed after the event ended.
- Below the Program Apartments is a giant box. This was theorized to be the Basement, however the box is seemingly a joke, as it is completely solid, with nothing in it.
- It's unknown if it was removed.
- Originally, before Program Apartments' revamp, three Green Books could be found separately in rooms A4, E2 and F1.
- Before the revamp of Program Apartments, Room F4 was turned into a regular apartment room on an unknown date. However, sometime in 2022, it was restored to its former "glory."
- Interacting with the basement while having an @@ crystal in your inventory will cause a special interaction.
