Legacy Lore

This page contains many lore elements that are not considered part of the new, official lore. It's very unlikely that it will still be considered canon for new lore, but will maintain relevance in old lore.

Pumpkrins, also known as Hollow Programs, are an alternate Program type. They are smaller than default Programs, and canonically, they are also weaker and faster. Additionally, their Program Hearts are orange, these are considered Pumpkrin Hearts.

Additionally, Pumpkrins are the base variant of the Pumpkrin species.

Lore[]

In lore, Pumpkrins are commonly found in the Hollow Computer.

Weapons/Abilities[]

Quick Fists - Pumpkrins have the ability to defend themselves by using their "Quick Fists", which they use to do weak punches to their enemies.

Pumpkrin Chubbs are a larger and stronger class variant of Pumpkrin.

Weapons/Abilities[]

Chubb Fists - Pumpkrin Chubbs have the ability to defend themselves with their "Chubb Fists".

Pumpkrin Candles are byte-class Pumpkrins, they are based on wax candles.

Their candle light produces a warm glow that creates a soft aura of comfort for any civilians near them . This warm light is possibly the reason behind their ability to passively heal others. While they are very cowardice themselves, many friendly beings hold onto these little guys while checking dark corners, since the light makes everyone just a little braver.

It is unknown where, when, and how they got the pumpkin, but next to that, no one knows if it's even part of their body. All that's known regarding it is they like to hide inside them whenever they feel even slightly threatened.

Not much is known about them.

  • They share the same mechanics as standard Program Gyggles except for their appearance.
  • They are the first Nybble character to have an advanced form, with the second being the Hollygram Gyggle.

Miscellaneous Variants[]

Pumpkrins can have one other variant besides the regular class variants.

More Facts[]

  • Pumpkrins were officially redesigned around January 19, 2020. They were then redesigned again to their current design on November 10, 2022.
  • If a Pumpkrin were to be stemless, it would either cause permanent damage to the Pumpkrin, or it would die.
  • Canonically, Pumpkrins' Hearts are connected to their stem.
  • Pumpkrins made their debut on October 27th, 2019, during the 2019 Halloween Event.
  • Pumpkrins were added as Group Exclusive characters in Databrawl Roleplay on November 4th.
  • Hollowboard could be considered a variant of Pumpkrin.
  • Interestingly, during Databrawl's 2019 Halloween Event, Pumpkrin Hearts were purple. During this time, Pumpkrin Hearts did not have a canonical color, so it is unknown why they were given this color during the event. At some point in 2020, Pumpkrin Hearts received the color of orange. This color was reflected in the 2020 Halloween Event. Despite this, the canonical color of Pumpkrin Hearts is still unknown, as Xtriel has never stated whether they were orange, purple, or any other color as of yet.
  • Before Pumpkrins were conceptualized, the Halloween version of Programs was going to be called "Pumpgram" and basically be a regular Program with a pumpkin for a head. This was dropped in favor of Pumpkrins, which it may have inspired due to them both being based off of pumpkins.
  • Pumpkrins are currently the only Program-related characters in Battle Mode to be able to pick up and use mines.
    • When a Pumpkrin throws a mine, instead of the mines acting like they usually do, they will create a shockwave which will heal any teammates in radius.
