Sassers are a species of Corruption. They are based on the highly-destructive Sasser worm, but not much is known about them.
Real World Counterpart[]
The real world version of Sasser is a computer worm that possibly caused billions of dollars of damage in 2004. Affecting computers ran on vulnerable versions of Microsoft Windows XP and Windows 2000, it spread by exploiting a buffer overflow in the component known as LSASS (Local Security Authority Subsystem Service) on the infected operating systems. While Sasser's payload wasn't intentionality destructive, it still caused many computers to slow down or crash, causing millions of computers to crash and reboot repeatedly. - Sassers were added to Databrawl Roleplay on May 27th, 2018, along with the character Diamond.
- Originally, Sasser was available in Character Pack 1. On June 6th, 2019, it changed to a Group Exclusive character after DuncanDunclub had noticed that Sasser was rarely used.
- Sassers were removed from Databrawl Roleplay on January 12, 2023.
