Scareware Beast are a noncanon Brawler variant of Scareware exclusive to the Computer Simulator event.

Databrawl Battle Zone[]

In the Battle version of Databrawl, Scareware Beast is one of the several characters obtained from a Mega Token. Their moveset is basically identical to Scareware's, with a few minor changes.

Stats[]

In the Battle Zone, Scareware Beast has 250HP (265 with VIP). They also have a walkspeed of ?? studs per second.

Weapons/Abilities[]

Deadly Claws - Scareware Beast can swipe at its enemies in an attack that deals 35-40 points of damage. The attack has a cooldown of 0.8 seconds.

Roar - A move which disarms and stuns all nearby enemies for 1 second. The move has an effect radius of ?? studs and a cooldown of 18 seconds. Additionally, the move has a duration of 2 seconds, whereas the Scareware Beast using the move will do the disarming screaming action and be unable to perform any other moves until the seconds are over.

Shadowfy - A move which provides (at maximum) seven seconds of near-invisibility. The move can be cancelled while active at any time (via unequipping it or clicking the screen again after activating it), and while not in use, it can be recharged. If the move is active for a long enough period of time whereas its timer counter is allowed to hit zero, the Scareware Beast using the move must wait for the move to fully recharge before they can use it again. When using this move, the glow that Scareware Beast produces is still faintly visible on the ground.

Real World Counterpart[]

Scareware is a term for a malware that scares and manipulates users into buying harmful programs like ransomware or fake antiviruses. These malware use many different tactics, such as fake ads and pop-ups. Additionally, some scareware simply scare the user through jumpscares and pranks without actually causing any harm to the computer. Examples of specific scareware include SpySheriff, NightMare, and WinFixer.

More Facts[]

  • Scareware Beast first appeared in the 2018 Halloween Event, where it appeared with a much different design created by someone who no longer wants to be connected to Databrawl. It reappeared on the 2023 April Fools event in Battle Mode with a brand new design and minimal changes to its moveset.
