- The "Unregistered" part of Unregistered Hypercam 2's Dataspecies name comes from the fact that when recording with the free version of Hypercam 2, it leaves a noticeable, opaque watermark in the upper-left corner of the screen that reads "Unregistered Hypercam 2". - The in-game description for Unregistered Hypercam 2 is a reference to how many old Club Penguin videos from around 2005-2010 used the free screen-recording software and thus had watermarks on them. More specifically, it references the old Hypercam-recorded Club Penguin videos that gave instructions on how to get "free" Club Penguin membership. Some of these videos also play a song named Trance, where you can listen here.
